Permanent Seminar on EU LAW

Project: Permanent Seminar on EU LAW
Project organizer: Faculty of Law, University of Niš

1. Seminar Rationale

The first seminar in this series was organized at the Law Faculty in November 2001 in order to provide more information on the EU law and integration processes. In 2003, the Law Faculty in Nish introduced the first EU Law course into the Undergraduate Curriculum, and the permanent seminar on EU Law was designed bridge the existing gap until the new curriculum became effective and to cater for the regular instruction in EU law. The course on the Foundations of the EU Law was first taught in the academic year 2006/2007, aiming to provide students a more systematic study of EU law. Under the new Faculty Curriculum of 2008, the course on the Foundations of the EU law was envisaged as a compulsory course in the Graduate Academic Curriculum (Master's degree study program). The Post-Graduate Curriculum (Doctor's degree study program) adopted in 2008 includes two EU-related courses: the Institutional Law of the EU and the EU Judicial System.
